(Navarro County) The Navarro County Commissioners Court met Monday at 10:00 a.m. for its regular meeting then a budget workshop at 2:00 p.m. at the Navarro County Courthouse.
During the regular meeting, the Commissioners Court put a countywide Burn Ban in place immediately because of the dry conidtions in the county. County Judge H.M. Davenport Jr. said this is a normal process at this time each year when we have a dry summer.
The preliminary budget workshop was just to give the Commissioners Court an overview of how things look in the upcoming budget according to Navarro County Auditor Kathy Hollomon, who is in her second year in that position and helping prepare the budget.
Another budget workshop is planned for Friday Morning at 8:30 a.m. followed by more budget workshops next week. There will also be an executive session to discuss personnel on Friday morning.
